Sting Talks Possible WWE Match With John Cena

The Stinger has indicated that he may have more than one match left in him.

WWE 2K15 continues to generate interest from wrestling and video game fans alike. One of the main drawing factors for this year€™s game is the inclusion of Sting. As such, the Stinger was on hand during the 2K15 press event held prior to SummerSlam a week and a half ago. It was there that Sting made an interesting statement that has largely been overlooked by the wrestling media. When asked about his plans in the WWE, Sting confirmed -- as he€™s stated before -- that he€™d like to have €œone last match€, but did add that he is €œopen to seeing how things go, how my body feels after the one match.€ While it€™s no secret that Sting really wants a match against the Undertaker, he also said that one of his dream encounters would be against Triple H -- which has been covered. However, as the conversation continued, John Cena -- who was also present for the panel discussion -- chimed in with his own thoughts. Cena stated that he cannot wait to see Sting finally compete inside a WWE ring. He then added, €œSelfishly, I€™d love to step in there against him. I hope it can happen before he graciously decides to not be active in the ring.€ The Stinger responded to John€™s comments by saying, €œHeck yeah, I€™d absolutely love to wrestle John Cena.€ While this doesn€™t confirm any sort of definite match, it is interesting. From the beginning, fans were aware that one of the main reasons Sting finally came to the WWE was so that he could lock up with the Undertaker. However, with the Deadman€™s career possibly winding down, there may not be a chance for such an encounter. With a potential lack of a €˜Taker vs. Sting match on the horizon, it€™s nice to learn that the Stinger is considering other marquee opponents. It seems that regardless of who his eventual opponent will be, Sting is hell bent on competing inside a WWE ring. It€™s also nice to hear that the Stinger may have more than one match left in him, as he€™d likely be up for more encounters if his body can handle the wear and tear.
