10 WWE Superstars That Were Pushed And Then Punished
8. The Miz
What? You forgot Miz was the WWE Champion too? How could you? Looking at the way The Miz has plodded along in WWE over the majority of his career, it's miraculous to think that he was once the 'face of the company', the man with the big belt. We all know how Miz got to the WWE via reality television and Tough Enough. We also know how he started as a tag team specialist with John Morrison and The Big Show before embarking on a singles run and capturing the United States Championship. That's just about where Miz's level is, right? However, the Awesome one would head to Money in the Bank 2010 and capture the briefcase, while still holding the US title, and then steal the WWE Championship from Randy Orton after The Viper had just defended the belt against Wade Barrett on Raw. (He dropped the US title to his main rival Daniel Bryan weeks before.) Miz's reign would last for six eventful months which included a WrestleMania main event win over John Cena. However, after dropping the title to Cena at Extreme Rules 2011 he was relegated to the mid card and hasn't managed to climb back up the ladder since. Arguably, there hasn't been a bigger heel in the company over the last four years than The Miz. Wherever he goes he gets booed out the building. The WWE Universe genuinely can't stand the sight of him which is why it defies belief that he hasn't been given at least one more chance. Nevertheless, Miz seems to have finally found his niche as a mid card comedy relief guy with the help of Damien Mizdow. WWE World Heavyweight Championship/The Authority aside, it's arguably the most intriguing storyline in the company at the moment. Let's hope the powers that be keep faith with it and don't mess it up before bringing it to a logical and compelling conclusion.
