Top WWE Star Describes His Character As "Going Through Midlife Crisis"

It's just a midlife crisis, says this current, over-the-top WWE Raw villain.

Seth Rollins has described his current over-the-top, flashy suit-wearing character on Raw as "if The Joker were a narcissist going through a midlife crisis".

That might be one of the most fabulous gimmick briefs in WWE history.

Rollins told Z100 that he's enjoying the "unpredictability" of this new direction, and has been since he started being a little more extravagant post-'Monday Night Messiah' run. He said he views his character as fairly unique, because he can appear either serious or comedic in segments with pretty much anybody.

Realistically, a laughing heel isn't the most unique thing on WWE TV in 2021. Others, like Bayley (just as one example) have done exactly the same thing fairly recently. Even Sasha Banks worked in some obnoxious laughs during her latest heel run, and Queen Zelina does it too when talking down to her "subjects".

Despite that, Seth believes his range is key. He pointed to the thumping Hell In A Cell war with Edge at Crown Jewel, then said that he was back on telly rocking silly suits almost immediately afterwards.

This is 'Seth Rollins: The Midlife Crisis Years' then. Embrace it. He is.
