The Wrestling Observer has provided a fresh update on the WWE employee who tested positive for COVID-19.

No name has been revealed yet, but it was one of the NXT trainees who was positioned in the (socially distanced) 'live crowd' to provide shows with ambience. The wrestler, who has never wrestled on TV, hasn't been used since testing positive on 9 June.

Obviously, she hasn't been anywhere near WWE's Performance Center facility since either. This is something the company are taking very seriously, as they should - the positive diagnosis forced WWE to nix recent TV tapings and hold Coronavirus testing on-site instead.

Precautions were taken to ensure that any possible mini-outbreak was contained.

It's believed that WWE were recording a run of NXT programming in bulk when the test took place and the worker in question was found to be ill. Stay tuned for further updates on exactly who it was, because that'll leak eventually.

For now, all that's really known is that WWE rightly took the issue seriously, postponed their tapings, tested everyone there and has since made sure the trainee has been isolated.
