Update On WWE's Plans For WrestleMania 38

Will WWE three-peat their multi-night format for WrestleMania 38 next year?

Recent reports suggested that WWE might make WrestleMania 38 a two-night event next spring. That'd follow the same formats used for both 'Mania 36 and 37, although neither of those weekenders played before packed houses due to the ongoing pandemic.

If authorities deem it so, next year's event could be different - AT&T Stadium in Texas could be bursting on both nights...if WWE want to run 'Mania 38 across Saturday and Sunday on 2-3 April that is.

Dave Meltzer isn't convinced that Vince McMahon will go through with that though. He told listeners of his Wrestling Observer Radio show that WWE sources tell him the company remains on the fence about a third consecutive two-night WrestleMania.

It's "being discussed", but nothing has been decided quite yet. In fairness, McMahon has a little more time to see how the health crisis plays out before he jumps into anything. It'd be a bit crap if 'Mania 38 had exactly the same restrictions as this past April's event(s), for example.

Meltzer revealed that WWE are "leaning towards" a multi-night format again, but nothing has been finalised just yet. in short, everyone will have to wait a bit longer.
