Time for a quick 'Did You Know?'.

WWE legend Bret Hart helped prepare Hulk Hogan for the big time by working rudimentary, short matches with him "every night" before either man reached Vince McMahon's promotion in the early-to-mid-1980s. Hart revealed this on his 'Confessions Of The Hitman' podcast, and said that he'd try to wrestle Hulk for 30 seconds or so before losing to a bearhug spot.

Later, Hogan confided in Bret that he regretted never being able to train at the famous Hart family 'Dungeon'. "That’s what I’m missing - I don’t have the wrestling skills like you guys got", he told his friend. Trying to make Hulk feel better, Hart told him that his captivating promos gave everyone in the locker room goosebumps, and tried to focus on what Hogan did do well.

"[Hogan] could always do a good bodyslam, a good clothesline, and a bearhug. He'd improved slightly by the time he got to WWE".

The pair's early matches were treated like training sessions for the 'Hulkster'. Bret also said on the pod that he liked the challenge of working with someone so limited, because that sharpened his own skills.
