WWE: 5 Possible Feuds For Randy Orton's Return

With the return of Orton to in-ring action, let’s have a look at the possible challenges that the ‘Apex Predator’ could face.

Randy Orton returned to WWE action this week with a quick win over the €˜One Man Band€™ Heath Slater on Raw. Following that victory he also featured on SmackDown, where he beat Alberto Del Rio via DQ. After the bout, the World Heavyweight Championship number one contender fell victim to the RKO. With the return of Orton to in-ring action, let€™s have a look at the possible challenges that the €˜Apex Predator€™ could face.

1. Sheamus

While it has yet to be seen whether Orton will be getting involved in the title scene, it wouldn€™t be a huge surprise given that if the €˜Celtic Warrior€™ wins at Summerslam, he will have beaten Del Rio at two consecutive PPVs in one-on-one matches. It€™s important that if the WWE are focused on longer title reigns for their top two titles, that they keep the matches and the competition varied. While Sheamus has been billed as a face, he seems to have split the WWE audience since his victory over Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 28. Although Orton neither comes across as a face or a heel, he is hugely popular with the crowd, especially the younger fans, and a feud with Sheamus could witness an interesting change in character for the Irishman. Orton can do a great job at putting over other talents, evident by the losses to Mark Henry last year, and he could push Sheamus to the limits of his ability.
