WWE Announce Live In London 'One Night Only' Special Event In September

WWE have announced an 'exclusive live event' at London's 02 Arena later this year. The show - entitled 'WWE Live In London' - will take place on Wednesday 7th September, and is said to include superstars and divas such as Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Charlotte, Sasha Banks and the New Day. The official announcement states:

'WWE will return to London this autumn for a special, one-night only event due to overwhelming demand by UK fans to see their favourite WWE Superstars and Divas in action.'

The description of the event as a 'special' could mean that the UK will be treated to a second WWE Network exclusive show in less than a year, after December's NXT TakeOver: London.

Although not strictly a pay per view, the announcement of WWE Live In London is still very exciting for UK-based fans, as it represents the first (main roster) special event on these shores in 13 years - the last being Insurrextion 2003 in Newcastle.

This news could also give us a clue as to the direction WWE wishes to take in 2016, with perhaps a greater focus on Network exclusive shows in a wider variety of locations.

Tickets will be available to the general public from Wednesday 16th March, and O2 customers from Monday 14th March.
