WWE Backstage drew the lowest viewership in the show's history this week, pulling an abysmal 18,000 viewers on FS1.

The show was largely built around the return of Jeff Hardy, who has been absent since picking up a serious knee injury shortly after WrestleMania 35 and had plenty to say on the show, including confirmation that he has been cleared for a squared circle comeback. Sadly, this wasn't enough to save the numbers.

Per data from Showbuzz Daily, Backstage drew a 0.01 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. The overall viewership represents a massive drop from the previous week's 127,000 and falls way short of the show's old record low - the 49,000 who tuned in for its debut episode.

So why the horrendous number? That's easy: Super Tuesday.

Backstage was going up against one of the most important nights on the United States' political calendar, as a boatload of states all held presidential primaries. Coverage on networks like NBC, CBS, and ABC largely dominated the night, with only an NBA game pitting the Philadelphia 76ers against LeBron James' Los Angeles breaking their grip on the evening's top five most-watched shows.
