WWE Champion Seth Rollins Vs. Brock Lesnar Announced For Battleground

Brock Lesnar returns! Huge WWE Title match is set for Battleground.

The main event for WWE Battleground on July 19 will be Seth Rollins defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against the former champion Brock Lesnar. The match was announced in the final segment of Raw when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon told Rollins that he had to keep proving to them that he was a worthy champion and then Lesnar's music hit, which led to him marching down to the ring with his advocate Paul Heyman. There was no physical altercation from Rollins and Lesnar. It was a stare down with Lesnar intimidating Rollins to the point that the WWE Champion decided to roll out of the ring to avoid confrontation while Lesnar looked on confidently from the ring. It was the first time that Lesnar had been on WWE television since March 30 when violently attacked random people, which led to him being 'suspended indefinitely'. That was the storyline reason to explain his absence since he works a limited schedule. Lesnar wasn't advertised for this appearance although it was known online a few days ago. He is advertised for next week's Raw as well as several other episodes throughout the summer along with the July 4th live event in Japan that will air on WWE Network. Lesnar's expected to work SummerSlam in late August in addition to Battleground. Rollins has never wrestled Lesnar in a singles match, but they were part of an amazing triple threat match with John Cena at the Royal Rumble (Lesnar won). Since Battleground is set to take place in five weeks, there will be plenty of time to build up the match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTUtP6pBZU8
