Holla' holla'!

None other than Teddy Long returned during WWE's special 'Throwback' episode of SmackDown on Friday, and the iconic ex-General Manager even got to flex his match-making muscles one more time.

The Hall Of Famer told everyone that he'd been given powers by Adam Pearce for the night. Then, he revealed that Cesaro would earn a Universal Title shot against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash if he could beat Seth Rollins. Of course, the babyface triumphed - Cesaro will get his crack on the upcoming 16 May pay-per-view.

His match with Rollins (itself a 'Mania 37 rematch) was pretty tasty too.

This was the kind of cameo WWE nailed. It was nice to see Long back here, and he was blatantly loving the chance to do his thing again; perhaps the only pity is that Teddy didn't get to make a tag-team match or tell some heel they were "going one on one" with The Undertaker.

Seriously though, most fans on social media were happy enough to see him. It didn't hurt that Long was feeding the Cesaro hype train and finally giving the hard-working in-ring wizard a massive opportunity he has deserved for years.

Roll on Backlash.
