WWE RAW Review 6/17/2013: 5 Things We Learned

WWE-RAW Well, well, well, what a difference some creative team turnover makes! After weeks of borderline stagnant storytelling and boring television segments, RAW came alive last night following several changes in the creative department recently. Here are 5 things we learned following this week's entertaining RAW broadcast:

5. CM Punk Returns...And So Does Brock Lesnar

This week CM Punk returned to WWE RAW, and immediately inserted himself back into the WWE big picture. Just as the newly-turned-heel Alberto del Rio was cutting the same old "no respect, I'm the best" promo to start the show, Punk interrupted him and reminded everyone that he is The Best In The World. What's significant about CM Punk's return to the spotlight is that he is now not only is he becoming a "face" again, but he is right back into the thick of things near the top of the card. He will also continue to distance himself from Paul Heyman since their troubles began at Sunday's Payback PPV, and Heyman nearly cost him his match against Chris Jericho. This is a fantastic shot in the arm for the WWE RAW product and it was an excellent start to the show this week. Also: Brock Lesnar returned at the end of the show during Punk vs. Del Rio and gave Punk the F5 of the year in order to set off a new program that will build towards SummerSlam!
