This week's Friday Night SmackDown on FOX managed to clear two million viewers once again, according to Showbuzz Daily.

Bringing in 2.032 million viewers on average in the overnight ratings, the latest edition of the blue show saw a slight drop of 0.2% from the previous week's episode. SmackDown also scored a 0.55 in the all important 18-49 demographic, meaning they again finished #1 on the night in the category.

Those who tuned into Friday's show witnessed Alexa Bliss finally being fully possessed by Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' character, after regularly finding herself in a trance over the last few weeks whenever the being's name was mentioned to her. Once she'd brutally attacked Lacey Evans and forced a DQ finish to their match, Bliss then locked her eyes onto Roman Reigns' Universal Championship and left fans everywhere wondering how this story will develop in the near future.

Elsewhere, Reigns and Jey Uso engaged in a game of promo-one-upmanship which saw the pair both produce career-best work on the mic. Bayley continued to prove why she is still the top dog in the women's division, and AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Jeff Hardy gave us a solid preview of Sunday's Intercontinental Championship ladder match.

As far as go-home shows go, this was about as good as they get and gave fans more than a few reasons to tune into Clash of Champions and next week's Friday night delight.
