WWE Smackdown Spoilers Results (June 2)

A new Money in the Bank match added and a ladder match participant too.

WWE Smackdown was taped in Houston, Texas as the road to Money in the Bank continued. Here are the results from this week's show that will air in the US on Thursday. Seth Rollins, the WWE Champion, started the show with a promo talking about how The Shield died one year ago. Rollins said that he betrayed The Shield so that he could be the WWE Champion. He said he was a champion without his title. Rollins added that he doesn't need help to retain the WWE Title at Money in the Bank. Dean Ambrose appeared on the screen to do a promo about beating Rollins for the WWE Title at Money in the Bank. The Prime Time Players d. The Lucha Dragons and The Ascension in a triple threat match to determine the #1 contenders to the tag titles. They also won on Raw and were runners up in the Elimination Chamber. Their tag title match against The New Day will be at Money in the Bank. The New Day did a backstage promo about how they would beat the PTPers by using positive thinking. Ryback d. Stardust n a short match. Paige was interviewed by Renee Young in the ring and complained about how the Bella Twins have ruined the divas division since all they want is to be in the spotlight and in magazines. Paige encouraged people to change the world, so she's going to change the world. Kevin Owens d. Zack Ryder in a NXT Title match. Owens won clean after hitting the Popup Powerbomb. It was an open challenge, which is why Ryder got the title match. Sheamus did a promo to build up his match with Roman Reigns in the main event. Neville d. Kofi Kingston. They're both in the contract ladder match at Money in the Bank. There was a Miz TV segment with Lana as the guest. A video was shown to recap the storyline. Miz questioned Lana about why she would leave Rusev when he needed her and she fired back at him. Miz said that he had a special guest, which led to Rusev coming out. Rusev asked Lana for a second chance and a hug, but she didn't accept his apology. Dolph Ziggler ended up coming out and Lana left the ring with him. Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus ended in no contest. Kane walked out with J&J Security and interfered in the match. Kane hit a Chokeslam on Reigns and that seemed to be the end of the match. Kane added himself to the Money in the Bank ladder match, so he's the seventh man in it. Kane hit a Chokeslam on Sheamus and another one for Reigns too. To end the show, Rollins came out to attack Reigns. Dean Ambrose made the save. Reigns and Ambrose were able to clear the ring to end the show with Ambrose hitting a Dirty Deeds DDT on Rollins.
