WWE Summerslam 2012 Preview and Predictions

Brock Lesnar Vs Triple H The WWE have done a good job at building up the feud between Triple H and Brock Lesnar to say that the former UFC Champion hasn€™t had much screen time. The use of Shawn Michaels to add extra spice was smart as it helped to give Lesnar back some of the fear factor. It was also a masterstroke in bringing back Paul Heyman to be the mouthpiece for Brock; as everyone knows, promos aren€™t exactly Lesnar€™s strong point and few people antagonise as well as Heyman. There are two ways this match could go; the right way or the WWE way. When the €˜Next Big Thing€™ first returned they built him as a demolisher but when he lost to €˜SuperCena€™ some of that aura was lost. If Lesnar is going to be fighting as a few more PPVs, including WrestleMania, they need to build him up again and make him look like a monster. The simple way to do that would be to make him beat Triple H clean. Unfortunately, I get the feeling that won€™t be the case. With Cena the WWE book him to look invincible; with Triple H it€™s all ego. €˜The Game€™ would probably love to look strong, rather than putting over Lesnar. Losing the two PPV matches since his return would probably do damage to the reputation of Lesnar and any future feuds he enters; what€™s the point of having them if he€™s losing every match to put people over? Triple H is a very-part-time wrestler now and it wouldn€™t hurt him to lose to Lesnar. In terms of the match, it has the potential to be a demolition-derby. Two strong, all-out-brawlers should really go out there and use everything available to them to seriously hurt the other one. I think it has the potential to be as strong a match, if not better, than Lesnar€™s bout with Cena at Extreme Rules.
