3. Shawn Michaels Vs Triple H 2002
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEFBxMXMufE It had been over four years since Royal Rumble 98, when Shawn Michaels had battled The Undertaker for the title in a casket match. Half way through the bout Michaels severely injured his back, as he landed on the edge of the casket following a back body drop over the ropes. Two short months later Michaels handed the WWF Championship and the burden of carrying the company to Stone Cold at WrestleMania 14, thus ending his affiliation with DX, the iconic stable he created with long-time friend Triple H, and his in-ring career. Triple H took up leadership of DX, recruiting the services of the New Age Outlaws and X-Pac, along with Chyna an original of the group. He rose quickly through the ranks of the WWF and just over a year later he cemented his position as the premier heel when he beat Mankind for the WWF Championship. Over the next three years he collected numerous titles and accolades, eventually leaving behind his DX compatriots. So, when Michaels returned to much fanfare in 2002, it was a great moment when a DX reunion seemed to be on the cards. But it wasnt to be. Triple H attacked Michaels and announced that things had changed. He was the top dog now. It was a match four-years in the making. It was a pure, adrenaline-filled street fight. It was a back-and-forth match that lasted 27-minutes as both men tried their hardest to destroy each other. It came to an end as Michaels attempted to connect with Sweet Chin Music but it was reversed into a Pedigree, before HBK reversed it into a roll-up and got the pin. 'The Game', incensed by the loss to his former friend, attacked Michaels with a sledgehammer, leaving him bloodied in the middle of the ring. Shawn Michaels had won the battle, but he hadnt won the war.
