The former Braun Strowman has held talks with IMPACT Wrestling, PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports.

Adam Scherr was spied with IMPACT Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore on Saturday evening (16 October). The duo were in the hotel bar at the Motor City Comic Con event in Detroit, Michigan, with the meeting said to last "a long time."

The writeup notes that IMPACT has been trying to put multiple surprises together for this Saturday's (23 October) Bound For Glory 2021 pay-per-view. There is currently no guarantee that Scherr will be one of them, however, and whether or not the two parties have come to terms on a deal remains to be seen.

Scherr was a shocking WWE release on 2 June, given the former Universal Champion's general level of prominence since debuting in the company and that he was wrestling for the WWE Championship less than one month prior at WrestleMania Backlash (16 May), where he entered an impressive performance. "Budget cuts" were given as the reason for him being cut, with Scherr's reported seven-figure salary potentially a contributing factor.

The 38-year-old returned to wrestling at Free The Narrative II: The Monster In Us All on 1 October, defeating EC3 in a cinematic match.
