Who wears it worst? Comic books are amazing sources of memorable characters and mind-blowing artwork, with larger-than-life scenarios and world shattering battles. This is especially true of superhero comics, which, let's face it, still make up 90% of the industry. A quick scan over the shelves on new comics Wednesday will show you mainly superheroes and supervillains, and lots of them. Over the years, we've been treated to a huge amount of truly awesome and iconic costumes or outfits: Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Captain America all have stunningly simple-yet-effective costumes, and even though there have been subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) tweaks to them throughout the years, they've all pretty much retained their awesomeness. That said, there have been nearly as many truly abominable costumes in the seventy or so years since Superman was created. Costumes you can't help but chuckle at. Costumes that never should've seen the light of day, and you definitely won't be seeing on your local multiplex screen anytime soon. In real life, chances are even the most awesome superhero costume might look a tad silly. So for this list, we have characters who look stupid even in the ludicrous world of comic books - lord knows what would happen on the high street. So read on, true believers, to behold what we believe are ten of the biggest fashion faux pas in comic book history...
