One of Marvel's most enduring comic book series of all time is The Amazing Spider-Man, which first debuted in March of 1963 and is still ongoing today. Other series featuring Marvel's most recognizable hero have come out over the years, but this one has best withstood the test of time.
Somewhat inevitably for a series that has run for so long, The Amazing Spider-Man has had some great covers.

On the cover of one of the most pivotal issues of the original Green Goblin story arc, we see the villain flying on his glider while pulling along a captive and unmasked Peter Parker.
So, right away this cover conveys the message that something big is going to happen in this issue. That point is driven home by the tagline at the bottom that reads "Spidey and the Green Goblin... both unmasked!"
All things considered, that's not a bad way to hook your readers.
