Joss Whedon creates fan bases. With the devoted audiences of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel TV series still going strong, it seems that Whedons work is never going to end. While the new comics series' have held strong for years, there seems to be spurts of greatness and travesty within the Buffyverse. Here for your pleasure are three reasons to pick up an issue, and three reasons to keep wary. Whedonites, enjoy.
3. A Changed World, A Changed View
One of the hardest things to do is change the world in comics. Not because of the physics involved, or the morality, but the simple fact that such a big change cannot be ignored. And the Buffyverse hasnt shied away from finding out just what this changed world means. Just this past year has seen the introduction of Zompires, Angel and Faith trying to find what scraps are left for a mad hope of resurrection, Willow exploring the depths of despair in the world, and what it takes just to get out of this madness. Changing the world makes things difficult, but the Buffyverse has not run out of material to meet the challenge.
