For any movie to work, there needs to be a healthy working relationship between the members of the cast and crew. This relationship is arguably most crucial when it comes to the relationship between the leading actor/actress and the director of the film, the two people that have the most claim to being the face of the film. They may not need to be best friends, but at the very least the actor and the director need to have a professional relationship where both of them are dedicated to doing their jobs. They need to be able to communicate with each other and voice any disagreements they have, whilst also being able to make some negotiations when arguments come up. Given the vitality of this relationship, it's amazing to consider that many films have had the director/actor relationship deteriorate to the point of jeopardizing the very existence of the film. And we're not just talking the silent treatment or bashing the director in post movie interviews. We're talking real, dirty conflicts that escalated to the point of physical violence between the actor and the director. This list contains 10 confrontations where emotions got the best of the parties involved and things came to blows. Interestingly, a good number of those involved in this article will either deny or refuse to speak about the arguments when asked to. Could it be that some of these wounds are still fresh all these years later?
