The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the biggest movie franchise in history in terms of just about every measurable factor. It has so far spanned 14 years, will be able to boast 40 movies by the end of the Multiverse Saga, and there are no signs of it slowing down.

Such a ridiculous shared universe, that every year feels more and more like the Marvel Comics Universe has transferred straight to the big screen, has allowed for huge moments on the biggest possible scale, but also the smaller moments that are just as important.

There is just something about a seemingly insignificant scene in an MCU movie that actually has ties to somewhere else in the franchise. The universe is so vast that this could be to another movie, another character, or another scene from potentially more than a decade ago. No matter how obscure, fans will find the connections.

Audiences always appreciate a good callback, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe has plenty to boast. Puny gods, fake villains, and iconic lines have all been referenced once again years later, proving just how big and connected the MCU really is.

10. That's How It Feels - Thor: Ragnarok

When Loki invaded Earth and took on the Avengers in New York, he had some one-on-one time with all six of them. Of course there was his brother, he had Clint under mind control, Black Widow manipulated him, he kicked Captain America’s ass, and had the iconic stand-off moment in Stark Tower with Iron Man.

Arguably the most memorable moment however, certainly for Loki at least, was when he was thrown around by the Hulk like a rag doll. Banner grabbed the puny God of Mischief by the ankles and battered him off the floor.

Fast forward several years and Loki found himself on Sakaar with the Jade Giant, only this time it was Thor in the Hulk’s crosshairs. As the Grandmaster’s champion, Hulk did exactly the same to one brother as he did to the other, smashing his head off the ground more than a few times.

Loki, usually quite a calm and collected figure lost all composure in the presence of the Grandmaster. He couldn’t help passionately gloating to his brother who finally felt his pain, and it was hilarious.
