Casting choices are a heavily debated and much talked about topic on the internet when it comes to virtually all genres of film. However, comic book casting seems to take on a life of its own. We've seen communities thrive on the debates of Ben Affleck, Heath Ledger, Anne Hathaway, and Michael Keaton, and all of those are just Batman related! Casting in Marvel films, while usually not as heated in terms of outcry, get scrutinized by many of the same audiences and internally from their own production houses (much the same). Consider how often The Hulk has been recast; Spider-Man, now living in a reboot, The Punisher gaining a 4th actor portrayal. Whether it's the audience clamoring for change or the studios needing to maximize profit with the right leading man/woman; it's obvious casting plays a major role in the success of some of our favorite films. Casting is almost its own internet culture for fans to look at what is, what will be, and what may be; from their own perspectives, and love to wonder, and debate. Regardless if what we are talking about is simply hypothetical, or even fantasy. We always love to look at this topic and have the conversations about who would fit certain roles best.
