10 Most Evil TV And Movie Politicians
Top Trumps...
It's been a rough few years to be a political pundit. Draining the swamp. Punching Nazis. Brexit. Farage. E-mails. Nu-watergate. Left or right wing, it's a tough time for world politics, and following the result of this year's Presidential election, things don't seem to be calming down anytime soon.
Never mind building a wall around Mexico, at this rate, 2017 could very conceivably be the year in which we see our very own version of The Purge or Hunger Games come to life.
At least we can take some comfort in the fact that it's not just our own politicians who stink, though. From the toothy aliens of They Live to President Lex Luthor (a thing which actually happened in the comic books) every universe has its dastardly politicians and evil electorates. Together, they form a cabal of deplorables who might just destroy their own city, world or even universe, given half the chance.
Incidentally, don't expect to see House Of Cards' Frank Underwood, or the bickering bunch from The Thick Of It. Some things are just too close for comfort...
10. Greg Stillson - The Dead Zone
After a very Stephen King-esque car accident, teacher Johnny Smith (Christopher... Walken) takes a knock to the head and wakes from the subsequent coma with the ability to see into the future. Initially using his gift to save a young girl from a fiery grave and to stop a violent killer, Johnny finds his true calling when he meets Senatorial Candidate Greg Stillson (Martin Sheen).
Shaking Stillson's hand, Johnny has a vision of the charming politician eventually becoming President of the United States and ordering a nuclear strike against Russia.
Cue nuclear winter and the end of the world as we know it, presumably. While Johnny's attempts to assassinate Stillson are ultimately futile, he does manage to damage the politician's reputation enough to prevent nuclear armageddon.
