I recently wrote an article about 10 of the most-wanted movie sequels that would never work. I discussed the fact that Hollywood loves making sequels, and is willing to completely leech off of the success of a movie in order to draw audiences back to the multiplex. Though this isn't always the case, it's an unfortunate truth that the bigwig executives of Tinseltown can't seem to leave well enough alone. That said, I'm not trying to imply that sequels are always a bad idea, or exist solely to rely on a moviegoer's goodwill in order to extract more money from them. There have been some extremely well-made, exceptionally-crafted sequels over the years, and it's often exciting to see characters and stories you love come together for another adventure. So now that I've outlined movie sequels that wouldn't work, I'd like to take a look at 10 sequels that we don't necessarily need, but would love to see anyway. Their predecessors would stand perfectly well on their own without them, but sometimes there are more stories to tell, and these movies would hopefully find themselves accepted by fans of the originals...
