Hollywood is continual proof of one thing: it's impossible to know with exact certainty how well (or how badly) a movie will perform with critics and audiences alike.

Seemingly terrible movies consistently surprise with critical and/or commercial success, and much-hyped films can crash and burn totally out of nowhere.

But no matter how these 10 films turn out, each is nevertheless worth considering with a certain amount of skepticism, if only because there are undeniable red flags that some potential audiences may be glossing over.

Yes, it's entirely possible that each of these movies is a solid hit across the board, but they'll have to fend off undeniable creative roadblocks lying in wait.

As such, it wouldn't be terribly surprising if any of these films was hobbled by the "mistakes" they already appear to have made.

It'd certainly be great to be wrong about many of these movies, but knowing Hollywood as we do, it's smart not to give studios the benefit of the doubt until we're watching the films for ourselves.

Keep your expectations middling, and be pleasantly surprised if they're surpassed...
