10 Wolverine Stories We Would Love To See In The MCU

Wolverine leading X-Force HAS to happen someday.

The X-Men films have been a bit hit-and-miss. The first X-Men asserted comic book movies were not on the way out. X-Men 2 proved it wasn't a fluke. X-Men: Days of Future Past was the most successful film in the franchise by far.

But the series also had a few stinkers. X-Men: The Last Stand was disappointing. X-Men: Dark Phoenix was a disaster. And the less said about X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the better.

But there is one thing that cannot be denied. The 2017 film, Logan, was a perfect way to conclude Wolverine's saga. Now, let's not pretend this is the last we will see of Wolvie on the big screen. Since the Ol' Canucklehead is the most popular X-Man, it's guaranteed he will be popping his claws in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future.

Although it would be great to see Wolverine up on the big screen again, some fans are a bit hesitant. Didn't the films already adapt the best stories? After appearing in seven movies (eight if you include his cameo in First Class), surely there are no more left to tell, right?

Nothing could be further from the truth...

10. Wolverine Vs Hulk

Due to the Incredible Hulk's incalculable strength and Wolverine’s healing factor, fans have debated relentlessly which superhero would win in a fight. Since Logan debuted in the comics by squaring off against the Green Goliath, it seems fitting that these two would battle on the big-screen.

Now, the problem with adapting this storyline is it’s impossible to please everyone. If the Hulk wins, Wolverine fans will go nuts. If Wolverine wins, Hulk fans will Hulk Smash. So, how do you get around this?

Well, both characters can join forces to face another character Marvel readers want to see adapted – Weapon H. Not only does he have Hulk’s superstrength but he has healing factor and an adamantium skeleton. Because he has the best elements of Hulk and Wolverine, Weapon H is better-known as Hulkverine.

You might think, “Wait, two superheroes fight each other but then join forces to battle a giant monster? Isn’t that just Batman V Superman?” Well, Weapon H isn’t a mindless monster. Like Wolverine, he is a victim. He was forced into Weapon X after he disobeyed orders during a mission. He is such an interesting character that he could have his own movie spin-off.
