12 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About Star Wars: The Last Jedi

No movie released this year has inspired as much passionate debate as Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Though the much-anticipated sequel scored some of the best reviews of the series, the fan response has been decidedly more mixed, scoring the lowest audience rating of the series on Rotten Tomatoes.

As fantastic as the movie is in many respects, from its visually stunning direction to the highly compelling performances and Rian Johnson's clear effort to subvert the audience's expectations, there are also a lot of things that sadly just don't work.

More than a week removed from the mayhem of The Last Jedi's premiere, many fans have been able to catch the movie a second or even third time, which has only further highlighted the film's glaring flaws, in spite of all the great things the movie otherwise did.

From bizarre tonal choices to legitimately terrible scenes that inspire nothing but cringe, these are the most flawed elements of the movie which really should have been ironed out in the drafting stage.

Instead, they're destined to be dissected and angrily discussed forever more, as fans hope that Episode IX won't repeat any of these mistakes (though it most probably will)...
