24 Confirmed New Disney Films (& 24 Rumoured) Coming 2020-27
From Marvel to Star Wars, Pixar to Fox, the Mouse House have the next decade of films mapped out.
Disney are the biggest company in film right now. That might not guarantee them all of the awards or the critical acclaim, but when it comes to the end of year box office take rankings, you can be damn sure that if the top 10 isn't all Disney, it won't be far off. They're a company who buy brands and IPs like you would if you were playing Monopoly and now that they've bought Fox, they've added even more to their slate.
Looking at how that stretches out until 2027, thanks to the latest information on their release schedule, it looks like someone, somewhere - whether a real-life living person or frozen disembodied head - is set to make a lot of money.
2019 is going to be a busy year for the company too, with the likes of Toy Story 4, Spider-Man: Far From Home, sequels for Frozen and Maleficent and Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker all incoming, but we're looking ahead to what's coming from 2020 onwards. And considering there's only a handful currently in the works from 2022 onwards, the fact that the range includes FIFTY movies suggests exactly why Disney is such a big deal now.
So, with informed predictions for all of the so-far untitled projects that we know are coming, here's the titles and dates you need to put in your diary for the best part of the next decade. And some you probably won't...
2020...
48. Underwater
Release Date: 10th January, 2020
Originally part of Fox's slate, this underwater adventure-thriller stars Kristen Stewart, TJ Miller, Jessica Henwick and Vincent Cassel as a team of underwater researchers who must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.
As Jaws, The Meg and Poseidon have all proved, everyone loves a "people in peril underwater movie" and disaster movies continue to attract audiences. Bit of a swerve for Stewart, but that's no bad thing.

47. Kingsman Prequel
Release Date: 14th February, 2020
While Kingsman: The Golden Circle didn’t get the same warm reception that The Secret Service did, it still performed well enough at the box-office (taking slightly less than the first on a slightly increased budget) for Fox (and now Disney) to push ahead with further instalments.
While a proper sequel is in the works too - but without a release date - we’re first getting a prequel, which was once known as The Great Game. It’ll be set in the early-1900s and chart the foundation of the agency. Matthew Vaughn is once again directing, with the impressive cast including Ralph Fiennes, Charles Dance, Daniel Bruhl, Harris Dickinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Gemma Arterton.
