5 Changes That Would Have Improved The Dark Knight Rises

Most people agree that Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy changed the game, at least for comic book and graphic novel adaptations. Batman Begins showed fans of the superhero genre what could be done with a comic book about a dude, who dresses up like a bat, that fights bad guys, who likes to wear clown make-up and scarecrow masks. However, this portrayal of Bruce Wayne, and his rise to become the Batman, wasn't overshadowed by cheap action or gimmicky gadgets. Nolan decided to focus on the essential elements of story such as character and plot and it paid off, making the way for a little sequel called The Dark Knight. As we all know, TDK transcended the comic book film, leaving Spider-Man, X-Men, in the proverbial dust and erasing all terrible memories of Fantastic Four. TDK even got the attention of the Academy, gaining eight Oscar nominations and winning two: one for Best Sound Editing and another for Best Supporting Actor for the late Heath Ledger. So it was only natural that the final, concluding chapter of Nolan's Batman saga would be met with more eager anticipation and higher expectation than, arguably, all other sequels of the past decade. Upon its release. The Dark Knight Rises was met with favorable reviews, both critically and with audiences; it was an overall satisfying and appropriate ending to the series. With that said, there is a huge HOWEVER that needs to be stamped at the end of that previous sentence. However, TDKR was also met with a lot of negative reactions concerning plot holes and inconsistencies throughout the film (I'm sure I'd be scarce to find a soul who hasn't seen The Dark Knight Rises, but SPOILER ALERT). How did Bruce Wayne get to Gotham so fast without money or any resources, and especially without Alfred? How did he survive the bomb that apparently had the slowest timer ever? When did he have enough time for that giant flaming Bat sign? Why did Anne Hathaway look so good in a leather bodysuit? The questions still linger and it wasn't long before people started making suggestions. Hell, it wasn't even a few days before my friend and I started revising TDKR to our own specifications. So without further ado, let's get on to a few changes that would have improved The Dark Knight Rises...
