6 Things To Fear About Zac Efron In Star Wars 7

The force is unlikely to be strong with this one.

Star Wars fans have had to put up with a lot over the years, and usually the blame all comes down to one man: George Lucas. The love-hate relationship fans of the franchise have with the creator of their beloved series is most certainly a tumultuous one, as although he did give us Star Wars in the first place, he's also guilty of the most unnecessary and frequent tweaking of his work imaginable. Whether it's retouching the originals with unneeded CGI characters added to the background, or if it's making Darth Vader, the most feared man in the galaxy, fall to his knees and scream "nooooo" like the very worst of movie cliches, Lucas' decisions have been a bit debatable. So when news broke of there being a third trilogy of Star Wars films coming out within the next ten years, even ardent fans were somewhat sketchy. However, when we were told that Mr Lucas would not have quite as much participation as before, and that J.J. Abrams would be taking the helm, optimism began to spread. This was boosted by the fact that we found out that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and maybe even Billy Dee Williams would be either interested in, or already have signed up to reprise their classic roles. Abrams even told us he wanted less of a reliance on CGI, all music to the ears of the Star Wars fans. However, there finally came some shaky news that reeled everyone back into their shelters of scepticism: Zac Efron has auditioned for an unidentified part. Fans (and indeed, everyone with eyeballs) are still attempting to recover from the Hayden Christensen debacle, so how will the potential inclusion of another largely unproven pretty boy face go down? Let's take a look at the things to be terrified of, should Zac Efron win himself a role in Star Wars: Episode VII.
