After having lost to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30, there are question marks about the Undertaker's WWE future. In being pinned by Lesnar - the legend having fallen victim to three of "the Beast's" signature F5 finishing moves - 'Taker's legendary streak of 21 consecutive victories at WWE's flagship yearly pay-per-view was brought to a stunning end. "The Deadman", as he is affectionately known, was genuinely injured in the bout and looked a shadow of his former self. Indeed, so severe was the concussion he suffered, WWE owner Vince McMahon travelled to hospital with him - missing the Wrestlemania main event in doing so. Having yet to appear on WWE television since his loss - but having left hospital with the all clear - nobody knows what the Undertaker will do next. Will he become a bit-part wrestler on Raw and Smackdown? Will he join a stable? Will he mentor an up-and-coming wrestler? Will he retire from the industry entirely? Who knows? But one thing is for certain - he won't be short of offers. Perhaps the Undertaker - real name Mark Calaway - will follow the likes of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dave Batista in to acting (he's already been in a couple of films - Suburban Commando, anyone?). If that is the case, maybe he will take a part in a future comic book movie! After all, Batista is portraying Drax the Destroyer in this summer's Marvel offering Guardians of the Galaxy and Johnson has recently been heavily linked with the role of Green Lantern John Stewart in the DC Cinematic Universe, so there is definitely precedent for that happening. In this article, we'll be taking a look at just a few of the roles Calaway could potentially pull off in the blockbuster world of comic book movies. Here are eight comic book characters the Undertaker could play in a movie...
Honourable Mention: Deadman
Getting nothing more than an honourable mention, thanks to the fact that his personality is nothing like the Undertaker's (his last words prior to his human form's death were "gee, from up here it almost looks like that guy with the hook for a hand has a gun..." and it's hard to imagine the Undertaker saying that), it would be really cool if Undertaker - know as "the Deadman" in the WWE universe - was capable of pulling off the role of DC's Deadman, simply due to the name link. Sadly, he isn't capable of playing Deadman, but the heroic character had to get a mention due to the fact that the name link would make it an awesome possibility IF the Undertaker had the chops to play someone of his personality. Now on to the actual list...
