It is just two months until Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released. Two. Months. I'm having to read that sentence back a few times, because it isn't sinking in at the moment. 10 years ago I was feeling pretty despondent about there ever being another Star Wars movie, and the excitement the Disney announcement - around three years ago to the day now - brought with it is now reaching rather dangerous levels. There's still so much we don't know about the film, such as, oh you know, little things like the plot, and what Mark Hamill's role will be, and what a bunch of people look like, and did I mention it's only two months away?! Of course, The Force Awakens is just the first step for more Star Wars films. There are going to be standalone movies (unfortunately it really does look like they're subtitling them "A Star Wars Story"), while this film will be part of a whole new trilogy. Episode IX is due for release in 2019, with Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow directing. First up though, 40 years and 1 day since Star Wars was first released, will be Rian Johnson's Episode VIII on 26th May 2017. Given the secrecy around the film that's out in two months (just incase that wasn't clear), almost nothing is known about the one two years away. This being Star Wars, though, there are lots of rumours, which are really exciting (plus one that is simply awful).
