New A-TEAM Trailer Brings "A" Game

By Ray DeRousse /

I had no interest in the upcoming 'A-Team' movie, mainly because I thought the show was fairly stupid. However, the chemistry the show managed between the characters was the lifeblood of the series, and the primary reason why it had such a successful run. I didn't think the cast for the film version had the same kind of chemistry. I still don't, but I'm getting warmer thanks to this new trailer. I can't look at Liam Neeson and not laugh at him as Hannibal, but we will see if he can sell it throughout the movie. Rampage Jackson looks a little timid as B.A. Baracus, and I despise how he kicks that guy approximately twenty feet in the trailer. Bradley Cooper looks and feels right as Faceman. The action is way, way, WAY over the top, but I like that aspect. Certain projects call for that style of action, and this film should be one of them. This looks like a big, goofy, baseball-and-apple-pie action film. Given it's being released right around the Fourth of July, the film should be providing fireworks during the hottest, most entertaining part of the summer.
