Annoyingly, Jurassic World 2 Isn't Called Jurassic Galaxy (Yet)
Plus it's going to shoot in the UK...
We have a working title for Jurassic World 2 and it incredibly - and confusing - doesn't follow the established Super Mario title convention that the franchise has so far (as per this delightful Reddit theory)...
The film is actually being filmed under the working title Ancient Futures, a no doubt playful attempt to both hint at its content and disguise it from prying eyes. It's unlikely the film will be called Jurassic World: Ancient Futures in the end, but I just wish there was someone on the set who had seen the Reddit theory and decided to be even more silly with the title.
Let's just all agree to call it that anyway.
Secondly, it’s going under the working title of Ancient Futures. That won’t be anywhere close to the final name of the film, and productions use working titles to hide what they actually are. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was put together under the name of Foodles Productions Ltd, for instance, whilst Episode VIII was using Space Bear.
There's also news from Den Of Geek that the film is set to film in the UK. Obviously that doesn't mean it will be set in the UK (because nobody wants a grim, grey-skied Euro-Jurassic Park after the tropics of the originals), but it is likely to use studios and crew here.
The film will be directed by JA Bayona, from a script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly with both Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt returning. Presumably so too will BD Wong's Henry Wu since he was last seen running off with embryos of dangerous genetic dino-abominations.
