On the occasion of what would have been Jack Kirby's 100th birthday, Evangeline Lilly has officially revealed the first look at her new Wasp costume for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Following on from Lilly's previous hints that she was going to be getting her own costume for the movie - and not simply stepping into her mother's old hand-me-downs - she posted an image from the movie on Twitter, showing off the new threads...

Clearly she wasn't feeling the colour scheme of the prototype suit Hank Pym unveiled for her at the end of Ant-Man:

The design is still very much visible in there, albeit with a more muted palette of colours than the one inspired by the comics and slightly more protection on her arms. Presumably the wings are retractable (there's no way The Wasp wouldn't have wings, right?)

Other than the costume, the image also reveals that Hope is heading a children's classroom (complete with an ant-based Easter Egg on the blackboard), which could well be at Cassie Lang's school. Perhaps Cassie will play a key role again, as the official synopsis talks about Scott "grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father" and having to "rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man."
