If you've missed the fact that Marvel Studios want us all to know that people are going to die in Avengers: Infinity War, you haven't been paying much attention to the marketing campaign.
Far away from the provocation of the Captain America: Civil War teasing, there's been a shift in the way the directors, producers and actors have spoken about the threat of Thanos' invasion and the changes the film is going to have on the entire MCU.
The question that's endlessly playing out in fans' minds is who those deaths will be in the ensemble. Some candidates look more obvious than others at this stage, with an ominous cloud definitely hanging over Captain America, but there's a distinct possibility that the shocking fatalities won't end with him.
What if Iron Man - the man on whose shoulders the entire MCU was initially built - will be killed off too? What if there's a double sting in the tail? And though that might sound like too much pessimism for a Disney movie, there certainly is enough evidence and hints out there suggesting that it might be the case. Basically, the writing may well be on the wall for the Avengers' most valuable single character and it definitely deserves an investigation...
