Marvel Studios have rather unexpectedly released the first trailer for Scarlett Johansson's first solo MCU outing this morning. Despite their usual release schedule, the first teaser is here, promising a lot of action and a genuine Bond feel.

Seemingly including lots of the footage previously shown to con attendees, the trailer includes a look at Widow in her iconic alternate white outfit, an entirely new black one and dives back into her past around the Red Room as expected.

We get to see Natasha putting together her team - or her "family" as the trailer puts it - and planning to go back to "where it all started" (i.e. The Red Room). Whether that's to uncover some secrets or to take down the organisation that made her, her fellow Widow agents and Red Guardian (David Harbour) remains to be seen, but by the look of that shot of lots of other new Widows, they're going to have a big job on their hands.

The teaser also includes full reveals for villain Taskmaster and Harbour's Russian answer to Captain America, who looks like he's going to balance comedic relief and a genuine tank-like physical presence. And the other Widows - Johansson's titular hero, Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova and Rachel Weisz's Melina Vostokoff - will clearly get a lot of action too, judging by the impressive set-pieces hinted at in there.

There's definitely a Bond-like feel to this, which is pretty genius as the world waits for the first real trailer for No Time To Die, and it's clever that they've avoided any ammunition for a certain type of fan looking for a "go woke, go broke" opportunity.
