In case you were failing to grasp the subtexts of Tomorrowland from the trailers, and I suppose they were dazzling enough that you might be, this new featurette allows the filmmakers to spell them out for you. "it's a place where the ideas of science and exploration are able to grow to make the world better"says George Clooney. "It's more about the journey than it is a destination," adds Brad Bird. There's more, with Britt Robertson and Damon Lindelof having their say, and a few bits of fresh footage too.A glorified trailer, really, but one designed to tell you "Look, it's not just flashing lights." Unpicking Tomorrowland and trying to get to grips with the politics of its futurism should be a lot of fun, and/or launch a hundredweight of broadsheet think pieces. I, for one, can't wait. Tomorrowland - or, Tomorrowland: A World Beyond as they're calling it here in the UK - will be in North American, British and Irish cinemas on May 22nd.
