"I would rather eat a live baby in front of my grandma than have Michael Bay direct a DIE HARD movie. I would rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than let that car engine in a human skin leave his satanic fingerprints on John McClane. In fact, this new PG-13 thing is the only part of ruining modern action movies that Michael Bay is not personally responsible for. The rest of it is all him. Dont even fucking say those words in the same sentence, youre only gonna give them ideas for part 5. Its like saying Candyman in front of a mirror, that motherfucker will show up and snort John McClanes soul right in front of you and then piss it out on your shoes, wrote Willis. Would have ruined DH4. Few people will work with him now, and I know I will never work with him again.
Wow. I guess Willis really didn't enjoy his experience working with Bay on Armageddon. Whilst those comments weren't the most professional Willis has ever delivered in his career, I can't help but side with him in this argument. Michael Bay is a terrible director, he really is. I would have hated to see a Bay directed Die Hard movie but then again we are getting one from Len Wiseman so I'm not sure if that is much better. Willis wasn't finished there. He then had a rant about his last movie Perfect Stranger which disappointed at the Box Office...
"Perfect Stranger was ruined by the producers. Oddly enough, that film was meant to be a hard R rating, but when all the things that were meant to be in it were cut, EXCEPT for the Fucks, they got a PG-13 rating. Weird right? I was disappointed with that film, and I agree with you opinion of it. Everyone tried hard, worked hard, but it was not to be.
This comes after the very soon to hit theatres Live Free or Die Hard/Die Hard 4.0 has been CONFIRMED as having a PG-13 rating. Oh boy, Willis sure seems mad with life at the moment. Is it because he knows his beloved character... the one everyone will remember him for... is apart of a shitty and friendly "glossy action" movie? UPDATED: I THOUGHT THIS WAS PRETTY COOL. BRUCE WILLIS HAS HIS OWN TALKBACK SECTION OVER AT AICN, WHERE HE GOES THROUGH MANY ASPECTS OF THE "DIE HARD MYTHOLOGY" AND HE TELLS US "HE WON'T DO ANY MORE DIE HARD FLICKS" AND MORE.Click here to read it, it's well worth it. Also, a fun tidbit here. This is Bruce's favourite movies, that he tells us he watches 3 to 5 times a year. He has great taste...
