The reviews are being slowly drip-fed to us, and it's just a matter of days before the first paying audiences get to feast their eyes on Marvel's most ambitious movie to date, Captain America: Civil War.

Though Marvel Studios have smartly held a lot close to the chest (we've seen like one image of Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo so far), they've still managed to give us plenty of insight into what might be some of the movie's most exciting and memorable beats.

Clued together with early screening reports and recent reviews, we can get a pretty good idea of what to expect from some of the movie's iconic, watershed moments, even if a fair few surprises are par for the course in just about any Marvel movie.

12. Crossbones Attacks Team Cap

The Scene: New villain Crossbones and a fleet of his soldiers attack Team Cap in what's believed to be Lagos, Portugal.

Why It Should Be Awesome: We'll not only get our first glimpse at Brock Rumlow's transformation into the iconic baddie, but by the looks of it he'll give Cap a pretty persuasive beatdown. There's also Black Widow wailing away on the soldiers, and likely some combat from Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye and Ant-Man that we haven't seen yet.

Plus, considering that this is apparently the opening set-piece, it's pretty likely that something is going to go horribly wrong during this mission and create an even bigger impetus for the Sokovia Accords to be put into effect.

What Could Go Wrong: The treatment of Crossbones is the only major concern here: if he's made to look like a chump by getting beaten too easily or even getting killed off, that could be an easy way to kill our enthusiasm right out of the gate. That doesn't seem too likely, though.
