Since when did the Superbowl become so big in the U.K. that it warrants live coverage on not just the BBC but also on Sky Sports? Anyway, from the conversations I'm having on MSN right now it sounds like everyone is watching and I have to say, I don't know what's going on but it sure looks pretty in HD! Of course I'm British so I'm desperately frustrated by the stoppy-starty nature of American football and it's irksome that I just witnessed a 1 minute setup for a 1.5 second play where 1 yard was gained by the offensive team! Jesus. I saw Arsenal score a goal against my team quicker than that yesterday in the Barclays Premier League. With the U.K. coverage cutting out the all important and highly lucrative ads (of which Hollywood has paid it's usual princely sum for many), naturally I'm a little in the dark of when trailers are premiering. I'm using AICN as my little helper and the Cowboys & Aliens ad that ran earlier was pretty awesome... but the footage from Captain America is clearly the main event. The big reveal. The reason for film fans who aren't interested in the game to stay tuned.Do let me know if you are living in the U.S. your knee-jerk reactions and I will upload the Captain America trailer on here as soon as it becomes available. Unless this sport puts me to sleep first.
