Daft Punk scoring TRON 2.0!

That strange French electronic musical duo Daft Punk will be scoring Disney's TRON 2.0 it has been confirmed. The story originated at Upcoming Film Scores. If you've ever seen a Daft Punk music video then you already know that their weird but addictive music blends so well with alternative realities.

Commercials director Joseph Kosinski makes his feature film debut from a script co-written by Steven Lisberger, who came up with the story for the original film. Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner reprise their roles from the original film and Olivia Wilde and Beau Garett round out the main cast. Production begins in March aiming for a Summer 2011 release.
