Deadpool Wants To Know If You've Been Naughty Or Nice In This New Poster

Just in time for Christmas!

With February just around the corner, the 20th Century Fox marketing machine is gearing up for a Deadpool onslaught. As one of Marvel's lesser-known properties (to a wider audience, at least) they're going to need to be really savvy with the material they choose to promote, and how they do it. Mainstream audiences - if they're not too superhero-fatigued, at least - are really going to need to see more of Deadpool's USP of hilarity and tendency to break the fourth wall to make him stand out from the crowd. IGN received a new cinema standee this morning that'll soon be peddled around the country, in anticipation of a new trailer in December, and they appear to have succeeded on both the aforementioned counts. Check it out below - can't wait to find one of these for myself so I can finally sit on Deadpool's lap like I always dreamed. The press for the latest in the X-franchise has been absolutely on form - Fox actually have a firm grasp on their internet audience for once, that's for sure. The film is also looking to be a top-notch adaptation of the cult character, provided they don't get cold feet and actually stick to their guns on an R rating in the States. I for one am very much looking forward to watching Ryan Reynolds prove to everyone what a solid choice he is, along with the sound of thousands of fans collectively washing the taste of X-Men Origins: Wolverine out of their mouths (heck a little of Green Lantern might get flushed away too). Here's hoping the rest of the world take to the Merc with a Mouth as much as fandom does.
Deadpool is released 4 February 2016 in the UK and 16 February in the US
