Did Gwyneth Paltrow Just Ruin The End Of Avengers 4?!

Somewhere, a Marvel employee is already typing the word "misspoke"...

Considering Marvel did so well to protect most of Infinity War's spoilers, even with Tom Holland trying his best to give everyone way too much information, it's still quite stunning how much spoiling has gone on.

D23 footage showed Peter Parker's dying words way back in 2017, cast members have openly spoken about things they shouldn't have and even the directors have unwittingly let things slip (though they've then claimed they didn't mean that thing we all thought pretty quickly after). And of course, there have been videos officially released from the set of Avengers 4 confirming people are alive who should be dead.

Luckily for them, Avengers 4's box office performance is bullet-proof and no amount of spoiling the general shape of the plot will matter. As long as the ending is hidden, it's all good.

So it's not so great that Gwyneth Paltrow may have just spoiled one aspect of that finale: the fate of one of the movie's biggest stars - Tony Stark. In an interview with the Official “Avengers: Infinity War” Magazine (via The Playlist), she revealed that Stark and Pepper Potts' future is surprisingly normal:

“Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together. She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.”

Some will say that this could be referring to a deleted scene for Infinity War, but the key point here is that Pepper is clearly talking about a future point ahead of Infinity War. She says married, not engaged. She says they have a child, not they're possibly pregnant (though even that wasn't assured in Infinity War).

Unless Avengers 4 leaps forward a few years (which would be a bold choice), Paltrow is talking about somewhere in the distance (would Tony and Pepper really get married in the wake of such a catastrophic event?). So, is she talking about the end of Avengers 4? After Thanos has gone for good? Could she have just spoiled the fact that Tony Stark survives?

Expect a qualification VERY soon about how she was taken out of context, or misspoke or something similar. They're nothing if not predictable in these matters.
