Disney's Star Wars Land Will Apparently Help Find The Droids You're Looking For

As if kids and (let's be honest here) adults weren't going to be excited enough by the idea of an entire Star Wars Land, Disney are reportedly planning on introducing droids into the park.

As seen in a video on YouTube channel DAPs Magic, it looks like Disney have been testing a droid that doesn't serve as an attraction (it'd be easy to imagine a meet-and-greet type of venue with the likes of R2-D2 and BB-8), but one that actually wanders around the park and can interact with guests, either autonomously or via control (it's not clear which yet), but either way the idea is rather cool).

The concept of Star Wars Land (name TBC), which will appear at both Disneyland, Anaheim, and Walt Disney World, Orlando, is that it'll be a new location, a spaceport that allows all of the galaxy (and thus various different characters, ships and so on) to come together.

There will be two major rides, one based around controlling the Millennium Falcon, and another that plunges guests into a battle between the Resistance and First Order, as well as dining (a cantina, obviously) and shopping.

But mostly, it will need to look and feel like you're actually immersed in a galaxy far, far away, and the presence of the droids should only help with it - and who doesn't want the chance to interact with a full-size BB-8?!

Production on the lands started in April this year, with an opening date yet to be announced.
