Does Star Wars: The Last Jedi Have A Post-Credits Scene?

Don't rule out staying after the credits just yet...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is here and it's a hell of an achievement. The action sequences are incredible, the drama intense and logically escalated and the pay-offs are all mostly satisfying. It isn't flawless by any means, but there are very few big problems and fans will rightly lap it up. Hype is no killer here.

The best news is that despite being two-and-a-half hours long, it never outstays its welcome. And part of that might well be because there's no post-credits scene to add to the runtime.

But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't necessarily get up and leave immediately, because there is a touching tribute to Carrie Fisher after the credits that deserves attention.

With The Last Jedi representing Fisher's last completed Star Wars appearance, it was inevitable that there'd be some in-universe tribute to her following her sad death in 2016 - and in the wake of the celebration of her life and legacy at Star Wars Celebration 2017. That comes in the form of a simple title card reading “In Loving Memory of our Princess: Carrie Fisher”.

It's a moment that should draw out applause from fans, even as the film decides against a definitive answer to what we can expect for her character's future in the franchise.
