With an impressive slate of 23 movie releases over the past 12 years, it's fair to say that fans of the franchise have been spoilt for content. Particularly over the last few years.

However, thanks to production shutting down across numerous projects, the knock on affect that this has had down the line, and audiences being unable to attend cinemas, Marvel Studios' projected release schedule has seen numerous, lengthy delays.

Naturally, this has fans frustrated, as the year 2020 will become only the second calendar year to go by without an MCU release since its inception in 2008. But if there is one positive to take from this, it's that something of a bottle neck has formed, and a long line of projects is waiting to greet us over the next few years.

Not only do we have the movies of Phase Four and beyond to look forward to, we will also see the Disney+ corner of the MCU come to life, adding to the franchise like never before. There is a lot to look forward to over the coming years, starting with the most bizarre yet...

22. WandaVision

Release Date: December 2020

Though many of the upcoming MCU properties have seen major delays, WandaVision has got lucky and has actually seen its release date move up. Originally announced to release in the Spring of 2021, the show will now debut on Disney+ before the end of 2020.

The project promises to be a bizarre one, as Wanda and the thought to be deceased Vision will be appearing in something of a sitcom style show. Bringing back Monica Rambeau, and tying directly into Doctor Strange's sequel in 2022, this has the potential to be something truly special.

Though it will be remarkably different to anything else on the Disney+ platform, WandaVision will almost set the tone and fans' expectations for the shows that will follow it.
