Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have cast a Watchmen alumni for their 70's set movie Cemetery Junctionwith yesterday's Hollywood Reporter announcing that Matthew Goode has joined the film, as a "go getter" who is sleeping with the bosses daughter. The movie is described as being about class and love in a small town with the focus being on a group of twentysomethings working at the Prudential insurance company. From the evidence I've gathered from the various trade annoucements, Felicity Jones plays the daughter and Ralph Fiennes plays the boss. The movie will mark a quick reunion for Goode and Jones who played opposite each other in last year's version of Brideshead Revisited (the two from the left in the photo below). As promised, Gervais has filled out his cast with a bunch of unknowns as British t.v. actors Jack Doolan and Christian Cooke also appear, with Gervais himself only playing the small part as the boss of one of the workers. It is the first thing he has written, including even an episode of The Simpsons, that does not revolve around himself as the main character. Gervais is gearing up to begin filming soon on what you have to say at this point looks like The Officecirca 1974.
