Hayden Panettiere is on the NO KISS LIST

Hayden Panettiere's attempt to break into movies continues. Variety say the Heroes actress will star in Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List, an adaptation of a teen romance comedy which Fox Atomic have acquired specifically for Panettiere. You may recognise the title as being similar to Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, a book that Michael Cera and Kat Dennings are currently filming right now which is due out later this year for Mandate Pictures & Sony. Both books are from the same author though don't connect.

Published last year by Knopf, "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List" takes place in Manhattan, where Naomi and her gay best friend Ely protect their soulmate friendship by creating a list of people deemed off limits for smooching. Their friendship is imperiled when Ely kisses Naomi's boyfriend.

First time screenwriters Emily Meyer and Amy Andelson will adapt the script for screen. Sounds pretty cool. I'm extremely looking forward to Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist which I think had a superior cinematic plot than this novel but with Panettiere sought out for this picture, Fox Atomic must think it's tailor made for her. I do think Panettiere has the potential for a great career. She's just filming her first movie right now I Love You Beth Cooper where she leads as a cheerleader (again) and everytime I see her act she just reminds me of a 90's Sarah Michelle Gellar. If I were Sam Raimi I would have cast her as the horror victim of his Drag Me to Hell, I think horror could be her calling in the future.
